Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service
Staff must read paragraphs 2.88 to 2.91 of Working Together to Safeguard Children as revised in 2006
In assessing children’s mental health problems, staff of the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service will be able to ascertain whether abuse, neglect or domestic abuse are contributory factors and will ensure that these factors are addressed through the use of the "Managing Cases" section of these procedures.
Staff will also be able to form an opinion as to whether a particular child poses a threat to the safeguarding and promotion of the welfare of other children with whom they have contact and refer accordingly.
