Environment and Regeneration
Staff involved in the delivery of services such as play facilities, parks etc. play an important role in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. They are in a position to recognise child welfare issues in their day-to-day dealings with the public. The role of the Local Authority’s sports, culture and leisure services is set out in paragraphs 2.23 to 2.24 of “Working Together to Safeguard Children" 2006”.
Staff should be familiar with “What To Do If You’re Worried A Child Is Being Abused"
