Secure Training Centres
STCs provide accommodation for vulnerable sentenced and remanded young people who are aged between 12 and 17 years. Directors must ensure that there are robust safeguarding and protection procedures in place. Currently, no such centre is established within Telford & Wrekin. However agencies responsible for the provision of services to children who are living in secure training centres should assure themselves that proper procedures are in place to safeguard and promote their welfare.
