Government Review of Progress
Between September and December 2006 the Department for Education and Skills undertook a
priority review of LSCB implementation and carried out a national survey of LSCB funding and
membership. A copy of the report "Local safeguarding Children Boards - A Review of Progress" is available from the Every Child Matters web site. The report sets out the findings and recommendations of the Priority
Review and the survey. The report also sets out the work planned to support LSCBs, taking forward
the Priority Review recommendations.
