Disabled Children
Staff who have contact with disabled children must read section 11.7 of “Working Together to Safeguard Children”.
The Board has approved a resource pack which can be accessed in the document library of these procedures. The pack deals with the particular vulnerability of disabled children and the how to safeguard them. There are also sections on communication and training together with an overview of legislation. Staff will need to refer to this resource pack when dealing with disabled children and their families.
