Safeguarding in the voluntary sector

For any organisation who work with children, young people and their families it is a requirement of the Telford & Wrekin Safeguarding Children Board for any paid or volunteered staff to undertake a Child Protection course to enable them to understand their role and responsibilities to safeguard and protect children and young people.  Telford & Wrekin Safeguarding Children Board provides this training free of charge to any volunteers.  This training can be accessed in two ways:

Flyer for groups of 10 learners or more

Flyer for less than 10 learners

The NSPCC is a key resource for anybody working in the voluntary sector with children. It has information and resources to help the community and voluntary sector to keep children safe.
